Research on Water Environment Landscape System Restoration and Construction for Water-deficient cities

The Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-city faces problems such as severe water deficiency, poor water quality and high standards for water environment construction. Therefore, this project chose typical demonstration areas to carry out the construction of water environments with a new design approach. It also implemented advanced treatment technologies for multiple water resources replenishment, water quality maintenance and hydraulic circulating of the Qingjing Lake, as well as technologies for water quality maintenance and ecological restoration in the Jiyun River. Ultimately, the project aimed to meet the technology requirements for water system construction, water quantity assurance, water quality maintenance and ecological restoration in the Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-city. The project presented a technical route for inter-regional water replenishment, inner-regional water circulation, and landscape ecological restoration. The project also developed technologies for rainwater surface pollution control with low impact development, dynamic water balance in water consuming systems, landscape improvement of water bodies and vegetation ecological repair. Moreover, the project proposed guidelines for water environment construction in water-deficient cities, and offered comprehensive technological support for water quality improvement, and the promotion of ecological construction.
