Project title:

Optimization of oxidation ditch process operation and an energy saving technology

Project leader:

Abstract:

The efficiency of wastewater denitrification in urban wastewater treatment plants is often low. Therefore, this project was commissioned to analyze the distribution and mechanisms of transfer of pollutants and the rational allocation of the nitrification and denitrification area. Also, it aimed to increase the utilization efficiency of carbon sources in raw water. Due to the high energy consumption during the oxidation ditch treatment process, the project developed a method to reduce the intensity of oxygen supply and dissolved oxygen concentrations in the oxidation ditch, while increasing the efficiency of oxygen supply and its utilization, as well as reducing energy consumption. The project provided technology support for wastewater treatment optimization and established a technology system for reducing energy consumption in oxidation ditch treatment processes.
